The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Red House Live 1969

  Following Hendrix's arrival in London, Chandler began recruiting members for a band designed to highlight his talents, the Jimi Hendrix Experience.  Hendrix met guitarist   Noel Redding   at an audition for the New Animals, where Redding's knowledge of blues progressions impressed Hendrix, who stated that he also liked Redding's hairstyle.  Chandler asked Redding if he wanted to play bass guitar in Hendrix's band; Redding agreed  Chandler began looking for a drummer and soon after contacted   Mitch Mitchell  through a mutual friend. Mitchell, who had recently been fired from  Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames , participated in a rehearsal with Redding and Hendrix where they found common ground in their shared interest in rhythm and blues. Black Sabbath - After Forever

  Master of Reality  is the third studio album by English  rock  band  Black Sabbath , released on 21 July 1971 by  Vertigo Records . It is regarded by some critics as the foundation of  doom metal ,  stoner rock , and  sludge metal . [1]  It peaked at number five on the  UK Albums Chart  and number eight on the US  Billboard  200 . Negatively received by critics on release, the album is now considered one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time. It was certified double platinum after having sold over two million copies.

Deep Purple - Lazy

  Following intermittent recording sessions between gigs for earlier albums, Deep Purple wanted a dedicated amount of time to record an album away from the typical studio environment that sounded closer to their live shows. They hired the  Rolling Stones Mobile Studio  for recording, and block booked the  Montreux Casino  as a venue, but during a  Frank Zappa  concert immediately before the sessions, it burned to the ground. The band managed to book the Grand Hotel, closed for the winter, and converted the hotel into a live room suitable for recording. These events, particularly the casino fire, became the inspiration for the song " Smoke on the Water ". Machine Head  is cited as a major influence in the early development of  heavy metal music .
